Valedictorian & Salutatorian
Students are ranked in their class at the end of the sixth semester of their high school career for college admission and scholarship purposes only. This rank is readjusted upon completion of the seventh semester for awards consideration.
To be eligible for valedictorian or salutatorian, a student must have completed at least three semesters at Comstock Park High School. Foreign exchange students do not qualify for valedictorian or salutatorian status. Valedictorians, salutatorians, and students receiving academic honors will be given special recognition at the graduation ceremony.
The valedictorian and salutatorian will be selected from students achieving the highest honors (Summa Cum Laude) based on the following formula:
(GPA × 400) + (SAT Score) = Overall Score
In the case of a tie, the final point value will be computed and rounded to the nearest thousandth.
