Amanda Hite Headshot

Hi!  My name is Amanda Hite, and I am thrilled to teach elementary music at Stoney Creek and Pine Island. After 29 years of teaching, I still feel so fortunate that I wake up excited to go to “work” and encourage our young musicians to find music to channel their energy, enthusiasm, emotions, and creativity.  I enjoy motivating and empowering our young musicians to find their voice and become comfortable taking risks in the music classroom.  Incorporating orff and kodaly, I enthusiastically cheer our students as they discover and improve their abilities to sing, play instruments, constructively listen, and respond to music. Students will learn to find the beat, discover form, read rhythms and pitches with expression, and discover music in a cultural context.  In short, students will be having so much fun in music class that they will not realize they are in the midst of heavy academics because it will be delivered joyfully!
